• Family business of the year
• Technology & innovation

Mr Walter Toward established the business in 1963, originally trading from Argyle Street in Glasgow city centre where the initial focus was on paint and wallpaper before moving through a number of different product groups. The company became primarily focussed on the sale of bathroom equipment in the 1980s and moved to its current premises in Hillington in 1990 before expanding into a new dedicated and purposes built warehouse and distribution centre this year also in Hilington.

Walter’s three sons ran the business until his retirement, the eldest of which has also now retired leaving two sons as Joint Managing Directors, and one of their son’s as IT & Finance Director. The dynamic and skills of the family have allowed the focus to evolve in recent years. Derek maintains the overall control of the business. He has successfully guided for many years in partnership with Walter who leads all marketing activity, whilst Brian in the 3rd generation has launched the business online and other marketplaces.

The family are proud to be Scotland’s leading Bathroom retailer and enjoy nothing more than customers commenting that they are in the process of their second or third remodel using our worldwide sourced products. Our business prides itself on hand-picking high-quality products, which we rigorously test and analyse to ensure our customers can rely on our trusted brand. We then place the new products in custom built settings in our showroom, bringing these stunning products into real-life settings. Our products have been chosen by over 1 million customers nationwide, with the option of ordering online and home delivery.

We currently rate 8.1 on Trustpilot and customers love our service and instant collection service for those who live locally. Last year saw us win five impressive industry awards for our efforts and we hope to take that to new heights in 2018.
