Tell us about your family business (What you do, how you started, who’s involved etc)
The Skin to love Clinic offers solutions to dermatological problems as well as non-surgical aesthetic treatments using new, innovative and revolutionary technology and advanced treatment techniques.
Now in its fourth year, the business was started by mother and daughter team, Jane and Kerri Lewis. Collectively their clinical staff have over 100 years medical and aesthetic experience in treating the skin and its conditions and diseases. At the core of their business is the understanding that how people feel about their appearance has a deep impact on their confidence; the treatments and services provided at The Skin to Love Clinic have very positive psychological as well as physical benefits.
Jane and Kerri are very proud of the fact that they’ve built up a strong reputation for clinical excellence and five-star customer service; this has been affirmed by winning industry specific awards and gaining the support and recommendation from local GP practices.
What’s your proudest moment/biggest achievement as a family business?
Kerri’s proudest moment was their first award win at the prestigious industry-focused Aesthetics Awards:
“We had 600 competitors apply to our particular award category and we were sat in a room with the biggest industry names and brands. At that moment, I was so proud of what we had achieved in just 18 months and it was purely us and our small team that made it happen. It just showed that our determination and commitment was paying off”.
Jane’s proudest moment was the opening of the business: “I had worked in the industry for decades but always for someone else, so to open our own clinic was a dream come true. The fact that it was with my daughter and that we’d had the incredibly generous help of friends and family in renovating our premises was the icing on the cake.”
What do you love about being a family business?
Being a family business has given Jane and Kerri the ability to pass on their passion, knowledge and high standards to their staff as well having the freedom to do exactly what they need to do to please their clients; a practice that is evidently working as the team have won two customer service awards based on their client feedback.

As Jane and Kerri have a close relationship they feel this allows them to be very honest with each other with the business always in the forefront of their minds; they have the ethos that all discussions and decisions are purely about the business and nothing is to be taken personally.
