Airband are a family-owned Internet Service Provider, supplying fast broadband to rural, hard to reach areas that other providers can’t get to. Airband has grown to become one of the largest wireless Internet Service Providers (ISP) in the UK, helping to get thousands of customers connected.
Helping to reduce the UK’s digital divide is our aim, but keeping install times and prices to a minimum is also really important to us. We now have networks spanning across rural areas of the UK, providing reliable, high-speed broadband to those who really need it.

Airband was built from scratch in 2009 by husband and wife team Redmond and Miranda, after a niche was spotted in the market whilst trying to sort out their home broadband. It has grown rapidly from 2 people to over 45 employees with an increase in the workforce of over 120% in the last 3 years.

The Airband family is made up of family members including Managing Director and Director are husband and wife. Miranda’s father and brother in law, Redmond’s nephew – even their 3 children get involved with work experience, school holiday admin/research and marketing activities.
Along with direct family, Airband also employ 7 close family friends in their specialist field of work from Business Systems Manager to HR Assistant and even two husband and wife teams!

There are many things over the last few years that Airband has achieved that we are so proud of, from game-changing, successful tenders (4 contracts in the last 2.5 years) that have seen a massive recruitment drive and huge investments. The contracts are valued at £23Million, covering 34,000 premises, and subsequently helped to achieve a 280% increase in turnover between 2014-2016.
