Ainscough Industrial Ltd are the UK’s premier engineering service provider, with nine facilities that make up seven operational regions offering installation, mechanical, pipework, electrical, fabrication and technical & Heavy Lifting, to support blue chip clients for capital and maintenance based projects in a wide range of industry sectors.
Against a backdrop of incredibly challenging trading conditions and amidst the UK’s under pressure industrial sector including the uncertainty over Brexit, Ainscough Industrial Services have managed to defy such a turbulent market to create a number of jobs (The company employs over 200 people nationwide) with local opportunities created across its UK bases located in Wigan, Leyland, Rotherham, Birmingham, Retford, Glasgow, Bath & Washington.
Company CEO Matt Ainscough has overseen turnover growth rise of more than £30m in the last five years and has set his sights on further expansion, including opening two more branches in the UK in addition to looking establish the business internationally.
In 1982 Ainscough Engineering was formed. The company began a national expansion program and in 2001 due to the success and size of the business it became a limited company in its own right.
In March 2005 Ainscough Engineering acquired Pickfords Vanguard (an amalgamation of Pickfords Industrial Services and Vanguard Engineering) becoming one of the largest providers of integrated and professional Industrial Engineering Services in the UK and Europe.
Today, under the control of the third generation of the Ainscough family, Matt, Ainscough, Ainscough Industrial Services remains the UK’s largest privately owned management business that owns and supports a number of subsidiary businesses providing engineering services to industry covering six core functions: Mechanical, Installation, Pipework, Electrical, Fabrication and Technical Lifting.
Because we all work in an incredibly dangerous industry, the greatest achievement would be that Ainscough Industrial’s Health & Safety performance remains among the best in the industry. As our number one priority remains and always will be to ensure that all our employees return home safely.
However we cannot become complacent and are always looking for ways to further improve and reduce accidents and incidents, to this end 2018 will see many new initiatives and campaigns aimed at continual improvement of our Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental systems and compliance.
The company still has the family culture and feel about it, employees feel valued for their commitment and engaged by the generous rewards and benefits provided to them including the training and development offered throughout their career, with many of our employees having spent their whole working life here.
